WS2812B-2020-V7 integrates the RGB light source, programmable constant-current driver, signal reshaping circuit, data latch and precision oscillator in one compact 2020 SMD package. Each pixel accepts 24-bit GRB data, regenerates the remaining signal and forwards it to the next device for reliable full-color cascaded lighting.
Control and Integration
- Supply the device from a regulated 5 V source and place a suitable bypass capacitor between VDD and GND for long-distance installations.
- Transmit 24-bit data MSB first in GRB order at up to 800 Kbps.
- Observe the specified 280 μs minimum reset interval and input timing limits.
- Use ESD controls and moisture-sensitive-device handling procedures during SMT assembly.
